Challenges and Gap in Technical Skill Sets of Accounts Executive Faced by SMEs
The accounting industry is going through a digitalisation phase and the role of accounts executive has changed from traditional book-keeping using manual (excel) or desktop solution or even outsourced to external accounting firms, to the insourcing in the usage of cloud accounting solutions such as QuickBooks Online or Xero.
This poses a great challenges as new skill sets are required to manage the accounting solution and data extraction tools which integrate with QuickBooks Online and Xero. Accounting solutions are required by all SMEs from different industries.
In addition, these group of accounts executives do not hold a CA (Singapore) and falls through the prevail of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), although there are accounting trained and hold LCCI, and some even Bachelor of Accountancy in overseas universities.
Lastly, to manage the busy schedules of individual and the limited resources in SMEs, the course is a hybrid of individual learning at own pace, group classroom virtual training and customised training in accordance with the individual companies’ scenario to maximise the learning results.

Job Requirements (Qualification and Key Skills)
Diploma and above in Business, Accountancy, or other relevant fields.
Currently perform book-keeping, payroll, and other administrative tasks in SMEs.
Interested in learning new QuickBooks Online/Xero and OCR Technology.
Meticulous, trustworthiness and discretion with confidential information.
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Training Outline
Cloud Champion of QuickBooks Online/Xero, and Receipt Bank/Dext.
Generation of e-invoices, e-quotations, e-purchase orders using new cloud technology.
Make use of OCR Technology for vendor invoices and receipts and streamling of bookkeeping task.
Practical use of cloud technology and bank-feeds to perform bank reconciliation.
Customised training 1-1 for transfer of QuickBooks Online/Xero and Receipt Bank knowledge and skill sets learnt to different companies’ processes and situations of the respective trainees.
Obtained Certification of QuickBooks Online Asia/Xero and recognised by e2i.
